Permissions

Plenior always shows what the agent wants to do. The permission mode decides what it may do without asking you first. Choose the mode in the menu under the message field. It applies to the conversation from that moment on.

Mode What the agent does
Ask for approval Asks before changing files or running commands. This is the default.
Accept edits Changes files without asking, and still asks before commands.
Plan Reads and plans without changing anything.

When the agent needs your permission, a request appears in the conversation with what it wants to do:

  • Allow lets it go ahead this once.
  • Allow for this session lets it do the same kind of action again in this conversation without asking.
  • Deny stops the action. Write in Or say what to do instead to tell the agent what you want, and it carries on from there.

In Plan mode, the agent finishes by presenting a plan and asks Carry out this plan?

  • Carry out and accept edits runs the plan and lets the agent change files without asking.
  • Carry out, asking first runs the plan and asks before each change.
  • Keep planning keeps the agent in Plan mode. Write in Or say what to change to steer the plan.

Sometimes the agent asks you to choose between options before it goes on. Pick an answer and choose Answer, or choose Skip to let it decide.
