Messages and attachments
Attach files
Section titled “Attach files”Give the agent files to read along with your message:
- Choose the attach button in the message field and pick the files.
- Drop files from the Finder onto the message field.
- Paste an image, such as a screenshot, into the message field.
Attachments show above the message until you send it. Choose the remove button on one to take it out.
Long conversations
Section titled “Long conversations”When a conversation grows past what the model can hold, Claude Code summarizes the earlier messages to make room, and the conversation says so. You can carry on as before. For a fresh start on a new task, begin a new conversation.
